At Roots Resource Group, we believe real change and lasting freedom come from rooting ourselves deeply in God’s Word. Life’s burdens—whether ministry pressures, relational struggles, or the daily grind—can leave us weary and pulled in every direction. But Jesus invites us:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” — Matthew 11:28-30
We exist to walk alongside individuals, pastors, couples, and families in one-on-one discipleship and biblical counseling, helping you refocus on God’s eternal priorities, set healthy boundaries, optimize your time and energy, deepen your walk with Christ, and strengthen your most important relationships.
—Our Story—
Roots Resource Group was born out of a God-sized calling at a pivotal time. After 10+ years leading a successful landscaping and grading business while serving as executive pastor at LifePoint Church, Brad felt the Lord stirring a new season. At 46, he stepped away from those roles to pursue full-time biblical counseling and discipleship. Certified as a biblical counselor, Brad founded Roots as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry to make faith-based, Scripture-centered guidance accessible to our community in the Upstate of South Carolina and beyond.
Brad brings a unique blend of real-world experience, pastoral heart, and a passion for seeing people grow in Christ. His time in business taught him practical wisdom about leadership, boundaries, and stewardship of time; his years in pastoral ministry gave him deep insight into the spiritual and relational challenges people face. Now, through Roots, he offers personalized, one-on-one sessions—whether in-person near Walhalla SC or virtually—grounded entirely in the transforming power of God’s Word.
—What We Do—
• Provide confidential, one-on-one biblical discipleship and counseling
focused on Scripture application to everyday life.
• Help pastors and ministry leaders stay grounded in their calling,
avoid burnout, and lead with renewed strength.
• Support individuals and couples in building healthier relationships,
growing spiritually, and finding rest in Christ.
• Offer sessions on a sliding scale or low/no-cost basis where needed,
so no one is turned away due to financial barriers.
